Bring the Spring!!!

Two of my favorite seasons are fast approaching!! Warmer weather means warmer color tones and hues. The palette of fashionable colors enjoys bright shades and a completely unexpected dominance of fire shades – it seems that Pantone has not yet offered hues of yellow and red in a single “palette.” The color of the year according to Pantone is Illuminating! Illuminating represents strength and positivity. This Bright color conveys deeper feelings of thoughtfulness with the possibility of something that is sunny and fun! According to Color Institute experts, this is due to the desire to look at the future with hope. A joyful, uplifting hue is exactly what we all need especially during the recent times! For your Spring or Summer events, these colors are a great way to set a background color or accent colors. Spring is also the perfect season to add a pop of accent color to your palette.

Greenery and Foliage

Greenery and foliage are always a popular choice among florists. Designers have been shown using dyed/bleached flowers, painted greens, and pampas grass that will continue in the new year. The trend really suits the Pantone color of the year!

Vivid and bright flowers are ready and set to be popular for 2021. Using bold, contrasting blooms in jewel tones to make a statement and bring some joyfulness to your interior space is a great way to kick off the season! Although jewel tones are naturally known for having a moody hue they can be light and feminine, just as the below where pairing ruby dahlias, roses and ranunculus created a fresh and light tone. Ask your floral designer to add a touch of color, drawing inspiration from a focal aspect of your venue’s design or logo.

There is now a desire to incorporate palettes of colors such as oranges and yellows mixed with pinks and reds or various shadings of pastel blues and lavenders paired with vibrant greens. There are such a multitude of colors to be found in flowers, so the opportunity to reach beyond a two-toned box is invigorating! Mixing an array of color also allows for a moment of relaxation in planning. There’s absolutely no stress over the norm of matching the colors of linens, dresses and blooms.

A few colors that are making their trend into the seasons and some that have been here before are:

  1. Fiesta. The bright redorange color “Fiesta” is the embodiment of passion and fire

  2. Jester Red. The deep and intense shade of Jester Red is the symbol of urban elegance and chic

  3. Turmeric. The intense orange shade is not exactly the shade of orange, but it looks very much like it. It looks like turmeric and the desire to add few spices to the wardrobe.

  4. Living Coral. This wonderful spring color of Pantone 2019 is warm, bright, full of life and revealing, which is never enough. This coral has a golden hue and a softer tone, great for casual outfits.

  5. Pink Peacock. With Pink Peacock, we return to the red colors again, but we move in the purple-pink shades. Pink generally embodies the spring-summer palette, where it is practically indelible.

  6. Pepper Stem. Yellow-green “Pepper Stem” softens the brightness of a fashionable palette. Calm and natural, in the spring-summer closet he is “in the right place”, it is a symbol of nature, spring and greenery.

  7. Aspen Gold. The spring and summer color from Pantone 2019, just like the sun’s rays, illuminates everything around, giving you a good mood and joy.

  8. Classic Blue. Pantone Color of the Year 2020 is a familiar, calming shade of azure. Blue, from an emotional, psychological standpoint, has always represented a certain amount of calm and dependability. It’s a color that you can rely on.
