Oakhill Reserve: A Closer Look at New Construction in Tomball

The Elite Collective Community Spotlight | By Tiffany Edmond, Realtor®

A model home can make a strong first impression. But when I explore a new construction community with a buyer, I want to look beyond the finishes. The setting, floor plan, monthly costs, and timing all need to fit the life they’re building.

This week’s Community Spotlight is Oakhill Reserve in Tomball, Texas. The community is now selling near the Grand Parkway and offers two Tri Pointe Homes collections on 45-foot and 50-foot homesites. Its setting includes mature oak trees, community lakes, and walking paths—a combination that makes the neighborhood worth exploring in person.

A community designed for time outdoors

Oakhill Reserve lists a recreation center, resort-style pool, pickleball courts, playground, and walking trails among its amenities. I can picture a buyer enjoying those features, but I’d also ask a practical question during a tour: Which amenities are open now, and when are the others expected to be ready?

That answer can matter when you’re deciding where to live. A feature you hope to use every week should be part of the conversation before you choose a homesite.

Look at the floor plan

and

the homesite

The two home collections offer different sizes and layouts. As we tour, I’d want to know how you actually use your space. Do you need a home office? A guest room? A kitchen that opens into the living area? Would you prefer one story or two?

I’d also pay attention to the individual lot: its position, backyard, nearby homes, and the view you’ll see every day. Two homes with the same floor plan can feel quite different because of where they sit.

Know the full cost before you fall in love

The advertised home price is only one part of

the decision. The builder currently lists $1,000 in annual HOA dues and a 2026 combined tax rate of 3.147% for the community; those figures should be verified for the specific home you’re considering. I’d also ask about insurance estimates, closing costs, available incentives, and whether any upgrades shown in the model are included.

My goal is for you to compare homes using an estimated total monthly payment you’re comfortable with—not just a starting price that catches your eye.

Oakhill Reserve is zoned to Tomball ISD, and I’d help you confirm the assigned schools for a particular address as part of your search.

Is Oakhill Reserve right for you?

That depends on your priorities. If you’re drawn to a new home in Tomball and want a neighborhood with lakes, trails, and shared recreation spaces, Oakhill Reserve deserves a closer look. The next step is to tour the community, compare available homesites, and get clear answers about costs and timelines.
